Major allegations of fraud within Eskom

Two employees at Eskom arrested for alleged fraud.

Power utility Eskom’s problems are far worse than just load shedding.

This after various media reports broke the news that two employees – believed to be IT employees – were arrested for allegedly attempting to defraud the utility of billions.

Social media went crazy with people tweeting: “Hawks probe link between Eskom employees & cyber-syndicate: The pair was apprehended along with an accomplice” by Quintin @ ADA

Another reads: “Hawks act quickly after Eskom almost defrauded of R3bn” by PigSpotter Cliff.

The Hawks’ Paul Ramaloko told Eyewitness News “The men had apparently interfered with Eskom’s payroll network system.”
