While Randfontein received its load shedding schedule the Westonaria Municipality wants to inform its residents of a schedule as well.

Eskom implemented stage one of load shedding on Monday and shortly thereafter implemented stage two as a result of the system being severely constrained.

The Eskom Media Desk has stated early on Tuesday that Eskom has implemented stage two of load shedding. In addition to this, they say that there is a good chance of load shedding on Wednesday based on the state of the grid today (Tuesday, 27 January).

Eskom urges the public to switch off non-essential appliances. They also state that businesses will make a big difference on the grid if they, too, switch off non-essential equipment as well as unused lights.
