Eskom on Monday informed the public that stage one of load shedding would be implemented between 11am to 10pm.

They later had an emergency meeting as the grid was still severely constrained and proceeded to go to stage two of load shedding.

Eskom has urged the public to switch off their geysers as well us non-essential appliances. They stated that large companies would make the biggest difference if they, too, switched off non-essential lights and equipment.
