High risk of load shedding — Eskom

On a rather chilly Tuesday, electricity giant Eskom says there is a high probability of load shedding.

According to Khulu Phasiwe from the Eskom Media Desk, “Unfortunately the system is currently heavily constrained and there is a high risk of load shedding. If this continues, the same can be said for the rest of the week.”

Phasiwe continues and explains that the electricity giant is currently trying to restore lost generators.

He also alludes to the weather playing a role in the constrain that the grid is currently under as citizens tend to use more electricity for heaters.
