No load shedding for most of the day

'Power system expected to be constrained from 5pm to 9pm.'

Eskom would like to inform the public that it does not anticipate that there will be load shedding for most of Tuesday (5 May) as there is enough electricity generating capacity to meet demand.

Although the power system is stable at present it is expected to be constrained during the evening peak period from 5pm to 9pm. Eskom will keep the public updated on the state of the power system.

Eskom thanks all electricity users for responding to their message to save.

In the past seven days (168 hours), Eskom has only had to load shed for about 7 hours and 47 minutes.
