Bittersweet moment for Mohlakeng Methodists
The Mohlakeng Methodist Church recently reopened their hall and also said farewell to their devoted minister.
On Sunday, 2 December, the Mohlakeng Methodist Church reopened and rededicated its hall. The congregation also said farewell to their devoted minister.
“We had a special service to say farewell to Reverend Zola Mtshiza who is moving to Bloemfontein. He came to the church in December 2008 and changed the way we see our faith.
“He came here with a clear mission and vision, and he taught us to be true Methodists,” Motsilisi Spanya, mission convener of the church said.
“He will be greatly missed and we hope that his successor will be able to fill his shoes. In 2012 Reverend Zola had a vision for a new church building and he made it happen. Now we have a hall as well, thanks to him,” she added. Building the church and the hall was made possible by the Lekgoane family.
