Rainbow celebrates Christmas early
Reinette Herbst, Mrs Africa 2019 and Westpack Lifestyle joined forces to spoil the Rainbow Daycare Centre on 11 December.
Christmas came early this year when the multi-disabled children of the Rainbow Daycare Centre got spoiled with gifts and sweets.
Reinette Herbst, Mrs Africa 2019 joined forces with Monique Coetzee and Enalca Swarts from Westpack Lifestyle head office to host an unforgettable Christmas party for the Rainbow Daycare Centre on 11 December.
“I wanted to throw them a special party but I knew that I couldn’t afford to spoil every child at the centre. Soon after I started worrying about how I would be able to afford it, Westpack Lifestyle contacted me and asked if I could refer them to an organisation that helps children, because they want to donate shoebox gifts.
“I told them about my project, and we decided to go ahead with my party and make it even bigger and better,” Reinette said.
Not everyone gets a traditional Christmas but they wanted to make the day special for these kids. Each one got a shoebox gift and a teddy.
“Mad Media Group played Christmas songs for the children. I’m so grateful to anyone who contributed to giving these kids the Christmas they deserve.”
