Shopping mall makes 20 Chrismas wishes come true
Village Square Mall hosted a party for 20 children from the St John the Divine Orphans and Outreach Centre.
On Tuesday, 11 December, Village Square Mall gave a group of children the Christmas that every child dreams of.
Sasha-lee Hackenburg, marketing coordinator of the shopping centre, hosted a party for 20 children from the St John the Divine Orphans and Outreach Centre.
Each child got a gift, a meal and a picture with Santa Claus.
“Pep Store sponsored all 20 gifts consisting of two toys for each kid and Nandos made sure that the children and their caregivers enjoyed yummy meals, along with beverages for each person. Every child also got an ice cream and the caregivers got milkshakes,” she said.
The children, as well as the caregivers, were spoiled rotten. Arthur Ford sponsored and gifted each caregiver with a perfume and scented soap.
This is an annual event that is near to the centre’s heart. Our community is of great importance to us and one of our core goals as a shopping centre is to give back and show that Village Square cares,” Sasha-lee added.
To make this day unforgettable, Foto First sponsored each child with an individually printed out picture of each child with Santa Claus.
