Robbery in Eikepark; robbers still at large

Community urged to be vigilant following robbery in Eikepark.

On May 22, robbers invaded a property in Eikepark where they demanded jewellery and money from the resident.

According to Johan Krog, general manager for EPR, the resident opened the security gate for her dog when she was surprised by the robbers.

He further stated the robbers also forcefully opened a small gate gaining access to the property.

“When the resident then opened the security gate they [the robbers] demanded money and jewellery from her. She also claims to have been mishandled by the robbers. The resident screamed for help after which the neighbours raised alarm.”

Krogh concluded that the robbers fled the scene and are still at large.
