Armed robber nabbed with R4 000 of stolen goods, including headache powders

The West Rand Police’s Flying Squad (WRFS) arrested an armed man who targeted a spaza shop on Tuesday, February 18.

A spokesperson for the WRFS, Karen du Plessis, said the business robbery occurred in Mohlakeng.

She said police received valuable information regarding the man’s whereabouts and went to Toekomsrus to make the arrest.

“This was an unusual armed business robbery as the suspect fled with goods including two card machines, a big box of Grand-Pa powders, 13 boxes of cigarettes, two boxes of charcoal tablets and three packets of cookies. The estimated worth is R4 000,” she concluded.
