Suspected drug dealer attacked, his car torched in Mohlakeng

The suspect is believed to have infiltrated different schools in the area and has allegedly been selling drugs to school children.

An alleged drug dealer believed to be operating within the different communities in Mohlakeng has been attacked and his car set alight.

This was today (November 17) near the hostel on Ralerata Street, just after the main entrance in Mohlakeng near Umphakathi Mall.

The Herald was called out to the scene, and upon arrival, the car had burnt out.

According to information gathered at the scene, the suspect is believed to have infiltrated different schools in the area and has allegedly been selling drugs to school children.

Speaking to local resident who wishes not to be named, the suspect has been followed around for some time due to allegations of selling drugs in the area.

He was then approached and asked a few questions about his illegal trade in which he refused to answer. It was during this time that he was beaten and his car subsequently set alight.

It is understood that when he came clean, regarding the areas in which he operates in, he was rescued by the police during the mob justice attack.

The Herald has approached Solomon Sibiya from the West Rand District Police and is awaiting comment.
