Help find Saskia the missing Dachshund

Saskia the Dachshund is missing and her owner is appealing to the community to help look for her fur baby.

Saskia is a small breed dog with a dark chocolate tan coat. She has a gold collar on with a pink paw print tag.

She was last seen at the raceway in Dwarskloof on October 22.

Her owner, Natalie Coetzee, explained she is a photographer and usually takes her six dogs along with her when she goes to an event. On this day, Saskia managed to disappear within seconds.

Natalie further explained that Saskia’s disappearance is affecting the family.

“We keep wondering. Is she hungry, is she in pain, is she scared? It breaks us. Some people say it’s just a dog, but to us, it’s not just a dog. She is a part of the family. We are all crushed, we are broken. One cannot eat, sleep or think in this moment. The children’s smile is gone, and everyone falls apart,” she said.

She described Saskia as a very loving dog that loves sleeping and playing with other dogs.

“We miss the times where she fell asleep on our lap, and jumped up and down so you can pick her up. And the joy she shows when you come back from the shops. We miss you Saskia. Please come home.”
