Want to swing for a good cause?

The annual Ben Diale Memorial Charity Golf Day is at the end of March and organisers call on all golfers to play for a good cause.

Golfers are encouraged to be part of the annual Ben Diale Memorial Charity Golf Day to be held at the Randfontein Country Club on Friday, 23 March.

According to Dr Manyane Diale, the event attracted a field of 50+ players last year. This year there is an expectation of at least 100 participants.

“We expect players to come in large numbers, and hope that corporate and even government teams will become involved. All proceeds will go towards purchasing uniforms and shoes for schoolchildren in Mohlakeng.”

For individual players, the cost of participating in the day is R250 and R1 000 for a four-ball. Entrants will receive a T-shirt, cap and dinner for this fee, and there will also be spot prizes for winners.

Mpho Nawa, a former West Rand Executive Mayor and avid golfer, and Dr Molifi Oliphant, South African Football Association (Safa) Honorary Life President, are also expected to be part of this annual golf tournament.
