What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here's what's happening in the sporting world this weekend.

The Herald has compiled a list of some of the must-see sporting events that will be screened on television on Saturday, 24 March and Sunday, 25 March.

SATURDAY, 24 MARCH

Rugby:

• Round 6 of Super Rugby will continue on Saturday, from as early as 6am, with a clash between Japan’s Sunwolves and New Zealand’s Chiefs followed by the Hurricanes and Highlanders at 8.30am, Stormers and Reds at 5pm and finally the Jaguares and Lions at 9.30pm.

Don’t forget to tune in at 2.55pm for Round 18 of the Guinness Pro14 competition. The Southern Kings are in action against Benetton.

Cricket:

• Cancel any plans for the day from 10am, for the third day of the Third Test between rivals Proteas and Australia.

Motorsport:

• Formula 1 is back! Catch all your favorite Formula 1 stars in the first race of the season, the Australian Grand Prix qualifying, from as early as 7.55am.

And, if you are looking for something different, catch the following …

• Superbike World Championship (Thailand Race) at 10.55am

• Boat races in the sport of rowing from 6.15pm

• Premier Interschools Rugby – Maritzburg College vs Glenwood High School at 1.55pm

• The WBA Pan African Super Featherweight Title Fight between Bright Ayala and Wahab Oluwaseun from 9.30pm

SUNDAY, 25 MARCH

Motorsport:

• Tune in at 5.30am for the main race of the Australian Grand Prix

Cricket:

• The fourth day of the Third Test between the Proteas and Aussies starts again at 10am

• Absa Cape Epic (Stage 7) from 9.30am

• Xuzhou Marathon 42,195km from 1.45am

• ICC Cricket World Cup qualifier (final) from 9.15am

• National Volleyball League (men’s final) at 1pm
