What not to miss in sport this weekend!

Here's what's happening in the sporting world this weekend.

The Herald has compiled a list of some of the must-see sporting events that will be screened on television from Saturday, 5 May to Sunday, 6 May.

SATURDAY, 5 MAY

Rugby:

• Round 12 of the Super Rugby starts down under in New Zealand, where the always impressive Hurricanes face SA’s best, the Lions, at 9.30am, followed by the big SA derby between the Stormers and Bulls at 3pm and finally the Sharks and Highlanders at 5pm. Also catch the Cheetahs in action at 7.30pm for their PRO14 qualifying match against the Scarlets. Then from noon, catch two school rugby matches, the first an FNB Classic Rugby Clash between HTS Daniel Pienaar and Hoërskool Brandwag and then a premier Interschools Rugby match – Paarl Gimnasium vs Paul Roos Gymnasium.

Football:

• Don’t miss the MultiChoice Diski Shield final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at 2.55pm.

Cricket:

• The Indian Premier League (IPL) continues at 12.15pm with the Chennai Super Kings taking on the Royal Challengers Bangalore, followed by the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils at 4.15pm.

And, if you are looking for something different, catch the following …

• Supercars Championship (Motorsport) from 8.45am

• FINA World Series (Diving) from 6pm

SUNDAY, 6 MAY

Road running:

• Tune in as early as 8.55am for the Prague International Marathon.

Football:

• A big LaLiga clash not to miss is Barcelona and Real Madrid at 8.30pm.

If you are looking for something different, catch the following …

• Giro d’Italia – Stage 3 (Cycling) from 11.20am

• MotoGP (Motorcycling) at 2pm

• FIG World Challenge Cup (Rhythmic gymnastics) from 3.30pm
