Rugby star, 14, on the rise

Tristan Da Costa, 14, played rugby for Laerskool Bekker Primary School as well as the Junior Randfontein Rugby Club and the U/14 Golden Lions.

Nothing can stand in the way of 14-year-old Tristan Da Costa’s rugby career, which has already sky-rocketed.

In 2018 he not only played rugby for Laerskool Bekker Primary School but also for the Junior Randfontein Rugby Club and the U/14 Golden Lions.

His father and I are so proud of all his sports accomplishments. He never ceases to amaze us,” his mother, Anthea said.

While rugby is his first priority Tristan was also the deputy head boy at Laerskool Bekker Primary for 2018. He is also involved with various charities and orphanages in Randfontein.

“He has been at this school since we moved to Randfontein two years ago and he has already proved great sportsmanship and leadership skills. In 2018 he was also the captain of the school’s U/14 rugby team,” his mother added proudly.

Tristan is looking forward to 2019 when he can finally play on a high school rugby team.
