Toekies man runs to inspire the youth

In 2019, Fazil Bhana, 54, brought home the back-to-back medal as well as one for completing the Comrades in under 10 hours.

“I’m part of the Toekomsrus Athletics Club,” he said. “I have always been an active person and last year I realised that my time is running out and that I have to start doing the Comrades now, before it’s too late.”

Fazil said that he is very proud of his time and that the 2019 Comrades was an amazing experience.

“If it’s God’s will, I will definitely do it again next year,” Fazil said.
