TV weekly must watch
We’ve rounded up three great shows you should keep an eye out for this week. Start with the story of one of the most notorious serial killers in the United States largely told from the points of view of his victims.
Then watch two very dedicated (but very different) detectives tackle murderous crimes. Or follow an edu-tainment reality show in the search to crown Mzansi’s next cooking star.
In this fictionalized, fragmented biopic of one of America’s most notorious serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer contemplates his latest potential victim, a young man named Rodney. As Dahmer considers the fate of his prey, we see flashbacks to the events that led to the evolution of a monster, from Dahmer’s tortured relationship with his father, to his first kill, to his patrolling of the gay bars of Milwaukee. Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is now showing on Netflix.
Cosy mystery at its best! Bath’s dynamic – and unlikely – detective duo returns to solve more crimes amid a pleasantly scenic backdrop in the new season of this fan-favourite mystery. Watch McDonald & Dodds Season 2 from September 29 on BritBox.
