NEWSFLASH: Tshwane SPCA broken into, again

"In the early hours of this morning an unknown number of armed men overpowered our security guard and gained access to our offices."

The Tshwane SPCA was broken into on Thursday morning.

In a statement, the SPCA said this was the second time the Watloo branch had been broken into in the past few months.

“In the early hours of this morning an unknown number of armed men overpowered our security guard and gained access to our offices,” said the SPCA.

“The alarm system activated and the men escaped without taking anything.”

The SPCA said the men damaged the reception area’s doors and broke a window.

The staff and animals were not injured during the break-in.

In April, the same branch was robbed of its computers.

“We have so little and then they still want to steal from us,” said the SPCA.
