Food, fun and mystery boxes at Child Welfare Tshwane fundraiser

Diep in die Berg hosted a special breakfast aimed at raising funds for Child Welfare Tshwane on Saturday.

Saturday saw top chefs cooking for guests, musician Arina de Witt entertaining and loads of fun at Child Welfare Tshwane‘s fundraiser at Diep in die Berg, Wapadrand.

Hosted by Chantal Rutter Roos, the event featured five former Chopped SA contestants, including Jelele Mokhine, Dylan Jonsson, Wayne Burgin, Yoshan Naidu and Frans Manyathela.

Each contestant was given a ‘mystery box’ containing unknown ingredients which they had to use to create a dish.

The judging was overseen by revered chef Neil Olverman, who consulted with a few special guests for his final decision.

The proceeds of the event will be donated to Child Welfare Tshwane, an NGO that provides and cares for abused and neglected children.
