Two drug dealers busted in the north
Two drug dealers were arrested on Friday during a drug raid at various hotspots in the Pretoria north.
Two drug dealers were arrested in parts of the north on Friday after the Amandasig Action Group (AAG) and the Soshanguve police raided various areas.
AAG operations manager Erich Landsberg said they raided the Orchards train station, where a drug dealer was caught.
“He was running and hid near a factory. He tried to drop the dagga he had on him and he even threw a couple of bags on the roof of the factory,” he told Rekord.
He said the raid proceeded to a veld in Karenpark where another drug dealer was apprehended.
“It is the second time we have arrested this man. He was arrested three weeks ago and his car was impounded.”
Landsberg said dagga, crystal meth, associated paraphernalia, heroin, heroin needles, and nyaope were found in the veld.
Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Matthews Nkoadi said the men were facing charges of possession of drugs.
Landsberg said AAG would continue to fight against drugs in the Akasia area.
“The AAG constantly works on patrols and leads from the public regarding the whereabouts of drug dealers and drug hotspots. The AAG is constantly involved in the fight against drugs in Akasia, as we know drugs are the number one reason for crime.”
