Elderly woman hit by car
A woman was seriously injured when she was knocked over by a vehicle in Akasia.
An elderly woman was seriously injured when she was run over by a car in Akasia on Thursday.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Santi Steinmann said this happened on Heinrich Avenue near Brits Road.
“Reports from the scene indicate that the 64-year-old woman was trying to cross the road when she was knocked over by the vehicle. She suffered serious injuries.”
Steinmann said the woman was treated on the scene and taken to a hospital in the care of an advanced life-support paramedic.
