Two impostors abuse president’s name for jobs

Company executives and the public should be warned of two female impostors who abuse President Jacob Zuma's name to secure jobs and favours.

The presidency sent out a warning to company executives and the public of two female impostors who abuse the name of President Jacob Zuma and the presidency to obtain jobs and favours.

Presidency spokesperson Bongani Majola said a woman by the name of Pink Nomathamsanqa Vena, who was reportedly an executive at Prasa until three months ago, approached senior executives in companies looking for employment or favours.

“She claims to have been referred to them by presidency chief operations officer, Lakela Kaunda, acting on the instructions of President Jacob Zuma,” said Majola.

He said Zuma has never met Vena, neither Kaunda.

A woman allegedly employed as a receptionist at Hillview High School in Mayville, also used the president’s name to defraud people.

Majola said the woman promises to secure jobs at the presidency in exchange for money.

He said the matter was reported to the ministry of basic education for investigation.

“Members of the public are urged to be vigilant and to verify information at all times and not allow themselves to be misled by unscrupulous individuals.”
