EFF to turn into snake-feeders
EFF vows to make controversial pastor Penuel Mnguni eat live snakes.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has vowed to make Soshanguve’s self-proclaimed prophet Penuel Mnguni eat rats and snakes at his End Times Disciples Ministries church on Sunday.
Acting Gauteng chairperson Mandisa Mashego urged party members in and around Soshanguve to turn up at the church on Sunday.
“Attend the church of the demonic ‘snakes and rats’ fake pastor with the sole aim of making him eat those snakes and rats himself and by so doing lead by example.”
The pastor has been in the news lately after claiming he could turn snakes into chocolate and getting members of his congregation to eat them.
He was recently arrested in connection with animal cruelty, but it was released apparently because of a lack of proof that the snakes were alive when they were fed to people.
Gauteng EFF spokesperson Ntobeng Ntobeng condemned what he described as the devilish conduct of the pastor.
“This desperate pastor is taking serious advantage of our poor people’s spiritual needs and must be exposed for the fake man of God he is,” he said in a statement.
“What is painful is that all those snakes and rats are apparently street food – this chance taker pastor didn’t keep animals, he just picked them up wherever he found them.”
Ntobeng said this practice posed health dangers.
“There is no doubt that these animals carry diseases. This pastor must never be allowed to preach nor claim to be spreading the massage of God, he is an insult to all God fearing people and churches,” he said.
“The EFF calls on our people to also take themselves serious, they must never be fooled by such people who want nothing but quick cash and fame in the name of the Lord.”
Ntobeng thanked the SA Council of Churches (SACC) for taking a stand against the pastor’s actions, saying fake pastors should not be allowed to take advantage of people.
