Eskom announced the implementation of stage two load-shedding on Saturday, citing that four power generating units had problems.
“Breakdowns of four generating units today [Saturday] have forced the implementation of stage 2 load-shedding from 14:00,” the power utility said in a statement.
It did not stipulate when the planned power outages would stop, saying load-shedding would continue “until further notice”.
“Load-shedding is implemented only as a last resort in view of the shortage of generation capacity and the need to attend to breakdowns,” Eskom said.
Here is the Tshwane Saturday load-shedding schedule:
Group 3 and 7: 14h00-16h30
Group 4 and 8: 16h00-18h30
Group 5 and 9: 18h00-20h30
Group 6 and 10: 20h00-22h30
Group 7 and 11: 22h00-00h30
