Investigating officer Captain Seckle of Olifantsfontein police station confirmed to Rekord that Gova was home on Saturday but, he however, could not say where he had been found.

“Gova was found but he’s not in the country at the moment, he went back to Zimbabwe,” said Seckle.

Gova was kidnapped last month while driving his wife’s car on his way home around 20:00 at the Midstream Mediclinic traffic lights.

At the time Ranga’s wife, Mamelo Mareko, told Rekord that the family was devastated by the incident.

She said at the time she suspected the kidnapping was linked to his fuel business.

Gova had been returning home from the golf course, where he had had coffee, when he was taken.

The couple has been together for almost six years and has a two-year-old daughter.

Attempts to get the family to comment on Gova’s return home were unsuccessful.
