Centurion runner rescued from Hennops River
A Centurion runner was found distressed but stable at the Hennops River.
A male runner who fell into the Hennops River on Tuesday morning, has been rescued by Emer-G-med services.
According to emergency service Emer-G-med it, with other medical services, responded to a call around 07:00 and upon arrival, found the man in the river.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident and the events preceding are unclear, it is still to be established how the man came to be in the river. Reports from the scene are that a man had been reported missing after going for his morning run.”

The paramedics said the man was stabilised and later transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Tshwane emergency services spokesperson Charles Mabaso said the service was informed about a body floating in the Hennops River around 06:00.
“We got a call from a cyclist telling us they saw a body floating in the river near the end street, upon arrival we conducted a search downstream and we manage to recover the male runner,” said Mabaso.
He said the runner was then taken to hospital. Mabaso, however, said how the runner ended up in the river has not been established as the main priority was to get him medical attention.
