The meeting was a call to action to make the suburb a safer place for residents.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, July 26 at Wonderboom Junction in the north of Pretoria.

Their goal is to keep residents safe and protect their homes and businesses from thieves.

Latest findings about crime reduction:

– Significant decrease in residential burglaries.
– Annlin and Annlin West are no longer crime hotspots.
– Decrease in house robberies.
– Slight decrease in business break-ins.

Local business owners were in attendance as they play a vital role in the local economy.

The CPF has taken an active role in keeping the community safe, with a 24/7 radio controller and a system that allows for direct communication with the police.

“These measures are crucial to keeping Sinoville a safe and prosperous place to live,” said spokesperson Lizette Du Plooy said.

Du Plooy said if the businesses are not protected, more local people will lose their jobs.

In light of the recent surge in car theft in Sinoville, the CPF has taken a bold approach to prevention, introducing new strategies to combat the problem.

These include the use of Syntell, a state-of-the-art technology that can help to track and recover stolen vehicles.

“This technology, combined with community awareness campaigns and improved collaboration with the local police, offers hope that the tide can be turned against this troubling trend,” Du Plooy said.

The CPF had earlier sensitised the residents about the rise of car hijacking of popular car models such as Toyota Hilux bakkies, VW Polos, Toyota Etios, and Ford Ranger.

Vacant property owners were advised to lock and protect their properties as it was revealed that vagrants turned these properties into crime hotspots.

The CPF encouraged residents to be aware of suspicious vehicles.

Sinoville CPF received an award in recognition and appreciation for their outstanding achievement in service to the community.
