Midstream College is extremely proud of the Class of 2023’s exceptional results

Continuing with a 100% pass rate, the 202 matrics amassed 658 distinctions (3,3 per candidate) and an average of 76,6%. This is the highest number of distinctions per candidate to date

99,5% met the requirements for Bachelor’s Degree studies at a university. The subject averages deserve mention too, with seven achieving the highest average to date.

We would like to highlight Jean Blignaut our Dux learner with nine distinctions and a 94% average. Congratulations also to Anushke Niemand (10 distinctions) and to all the other top achievers (number of distinctions in brackets): Anru Cronjé, Tertius Dekker, Karabo Ngwetjana, Sandeep Nunna, Simoné Swart, Marco van der Westhuizen (9), Ingrid Barnard, Leané Claasen, Michael Kleynhans, Christiaan Maré, Cameron Mendes, Andrew Nortjé, Tian Strauss and Courtney Williams (8). A further seven matrics each had seven distinctions and 80 learners had an average of 80% and above.

Nine matrics, namely Jean Blignaut, Tertius Dekker, Simoné Swart, Marco van der Westhuizen, Anushke Niemand, Courtney Williams, Ingrid Barnard, Olivia Steyn and Gemma Krouwkamp were placed in the IEB Top Achievers list with their superb results. 36 are in the Top 1% of all IEB candidates per subject.

Behind these impressive results there is an extremely capable staff corps who drive the success of the College’s academic achievements.
