Truck swerves for pothole, hits tree

A truck swerved to miss a pothole and ended up hitting a tree on 5 February.

The driver sustained minor injuries, which was attended to.

It could have been far worse because the accident happened near a primary school, fortunately no pupils were injured.

Motorists said the road in Meyerville is an obstacle course.

Residents said people passing through Meyerville were unaware of the condition of the road, which might be the reason for such accidents.

Smaller vehicles have to avoid potholes, which causes damage to their vehicles.
