The school was taken by surprise the next day when the local police, members from the Secunda K9 unit and officers from the cluster stations searched pupils in the classrooms for illegal substances.
Capt Magonseni Nkosi, spokesman for the local police, said no pupil was found with illegal substances.
“All officials involved were impressed to see that pupils took the educational campaign seriously.”
Capt Nkosi said it was the beginning of the school safety related programmes that they will be conducted at all schools soon.
