Dr Beeka retires

Dr Beeka retires after serving 44 years in the teaching fraternity.

EVANDER – Dr Amratlal Beeka, Circuit Manager of Highveld Ridge West Circuit, bid farewell to a group of principals recently at the Highveld Ridge West Circuit offices.

He served for 44 years in the field of education of which the final 14 years was as the circuit manager.

Dr Beeka began his career as a high school teacher in 1971 at the Springs Secondary School where he taught physical science to Grade 12 pupils.

He also worked in Middelburg and served as the principal at Ogies, Carolina, Bethal and eMalahleni.

Dr Beeka obtained his BA, BED, MED and Ded Degrees at Unisa, Wits University and University of Johannesburg.

He also holds a law degree (BProc) and has completed his attorney admission on exams.

Dr Beeka said in his retirement speech he would pursue his career in the legal field and he also wants time to embark on the visual arts, keeping fit and developing sporting skills with his three grandchildren.

“I wish to express my profound gratitude to all my colleagues in all the schools, circuit offices, district and provincial offices.

“I thank all teachers’ formations, SGBs, the Osizweni Training Centre and all other stakeholders for the great support during my stay in the area.

“May God lead, bless and protect you”.
