A house burnt to ashes in Ext 7 on 4 March. According to neighbours, they saw flames coming from the house and called the fire brigade.

There was no one in the house when the fire began and police are investigating the cause. The ward councilor, Ms Jabulile Masuku, and Ms Sindiswa Sibeko visited the family on the day to assess the damage.

Legal Aid South Africa in Standerton with Spar Supermarket decided to help.
Spar donated groceries valued at more than R1 500 and the family was grateful for the assistance.
