New private school opens soon
Enrol your child at the new private school in Secunda.

SECUNDA – Curro Secunda Castle and Curro Secunda School is will open its doors on 14 January next year.
Curro Holdings, a company that specialises in excellent independent education, is expanding their educational footprint to Secunda, giving the community the opportunity to become part of 21st century learning.
Curro Secunda Castle (pre-school) and Curro Secunda School will cater for boys and girls from three months to Grade 5 and Grade 8.
According to Ms Marcel Untiedt, regional marketer of Curro Holdings, other grades will phase in each year thereafter.
“The language of teaching will be Afrikaans and English and the pupils will write the IEB exam in Grade 12,” said Ms Untiedt.
“Curro is very proud of its Curro schools as they have a very high standard and expect the very best from both pupils and staff members.
“All staff members must be fully qualified and be passionate about educating our youth, as independent schooling demands more from the staff as they in turn demand a high standard of excellence and commitment from their pupils.”
The school will have state-of-the-art facilities and emphasis will be on teaching the 21st century skills of computer literacy, mathematics and science.
Sports facilities will include a sports field and tennis/netball courts.
Cultural activities could include choir, chess and debating or public speaking.
The building is well under way and will be ready by January next year.
There will be an open day later where parents can visit the site and see the completed buildings and meet the staff members.
“Our next information evening will be on 22 September at the Sasol Recreation Club at 6pm,” said Ms Untiedt.
