As a Christ follower you are called a Christian of God’s child.
We are all God’s children, but have you all made a choice to love Jesus Christ and follow Him as your personal Saviour?
Have you really made a commitment to trust Him with your life and give your all to Him?
John 15:18 speaks of how we as Christians will suffer persecutions from the world.
I suffered many persecutions in the form of people making nasty remarks because of my faith, but yet I did not give up.
I got up every time.
You will have to face persecutions and people who hate you in life.
These people hate Jesus too and many times when you as a Christian suffer, people mock you.
They say: “Your are a Christian, why are you struggling?
“Why does God not help you?”
People out there do not understand that as a child of God you have many blessings, but you have to struggle so that you can stay focused on God.
If everything in your life was good and smooth, how would you be focusing on God?
Yes, we ask why me and what did I do to deserve this?
I think it is normal for anyone to question God while we are facing storms.
However, we must not forget who is behind all the negative thoughts.
The devil is busy with a spiritual fight and he wants you to lose your focus on God.
According to the Gospel of John, no servant is greater than his Master.
If people persecuted Jesus, they will persecute you also for they do not know the One who sent Me, if I had not come and spoken to them they would not be guilty of sin.
Our authority comes from Christ and He helped David.
Christ’s authority and Spirit was in David, so how can we not have the same authority and Spirit if we belong to Christ?
Jesus is our foundation and we must be firm in Him.
Through Him we gain strength.
Acts 1:9 speaks about how you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be God’s witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth.
If you do not struggle as a Christian, how will you know your faith is strong enough?
You learn to preserve when perseverance comes.
Faith is the hope to believe that through a tragedy there is a Godly testimony.
Through negative things, there is also positive things.
Lord please teach us to do Your will for You are our God.
Spirit, lead us on level ground.
Psalm 143:10 says: “The Lord watches over all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy.
This verse and Acts gave me inspiration.
I always saw the Lord before me because He is at my right hand and I will not be shaken.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices.
My body will also strive in hope because You Lord, will not abandon me.
You have made known to me the paths of life.
You will fill me with joy in Your wonderful presence.
The Lord’s Word is what keeps my focus on the right track and He is always true to His Word.
God has not ever failed by His Words because it brings comfort to my soul.
Do not be ashamed for who you are in God.
He looks after His children, that He promised us.
