Pastor Domenico gets ordained

Pastor Avon Browning will bring the Word on 25 January.

EVANDER – Past Domenico Schizzarotto (26) will be ordained and anointed as the new pastor of the Evander Revival Centre on Sunday, 25 January.

God called Past Schizzarotto to go into the ministry to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 2010 while he was working as an assistant designer at Proconics.

“Past Avon Browning, my spiritual father at church, said to me I must go to Bible School and study to become a pastor, but I prayed about it first and then the Lord spoke to me as well and said I must go,” said Past Schizzarotto.

He began studying at the River Bible Institute in East London in 2012 and got his Bachelor’s Degree of Divinity last year.

He returned to the Evander Revival Centre where he was a member before he went to Bible School and continued his training of becoming a pastor.

He spent a lot of time helping out at church before he left to attend the Bible School in East London.

“When I was not at work, I was at church, helping with the youth and Sunday School.”

Past Schizzarotto wants to put all his focus on and energy into the church.

His vision for the Evander Revival Centre is for people to encounter the love of God and His presence.

“We want to reach out to the poor and needy in the community.

“People must feel changed if they walk out of here and they must know who Jesus is.

“Church is about loving God and loving people.

“We have to get that right and we want to create an atmosphere where people can encounter God and where miracles can happen.”

Past Schizzarotto is passionate about people and enjoys running and reading in his free time.

The Evander Revival Centre built its foundation on the Word of God.

“The Word changes people’s lives.

“We do not believe in judging people, because there is a Saviour who loves them.”

Everybody is welcome to attend the service when Past Schizzarotto will be ordained at 9am on Sunday, 25 January.

Past Browning will lead the service and the church is situated on the corner of Bram Fischer and Toulouse Street.
