Budget to be adjusted for mayor’s guesthouse

Mr Mkwanazi also said they have to first identify the house that will be a guesthouse and renovate it to fit the status of the executive mayor.

The Lekwa Municipality has begun assessing the municipal houses that they want to sell.

It was discussed during a council meeting last year.

One of the houses will be turned into the mayoral guesthouse and the other will be converted into office space for the municipality.

Mr Mkwanazi also said they have to first identify the house that will be a guesthouse and renovate it to fit the status of the executive mayor.

“We will adjust finances during the budget meeting, because the budget did not provide for a guesthouse.
