Residents raise concerns about littering in front of the monument in the shopping complex.
A resident has raised concerns about littering in front of a monument at the Monument Shopping Centre.
According to her people sit and eat in front of the monument and leave food containers behind.
The monument was erected by the people of Standerton in memory of those who laid down their lives during World War 1 and 2.
She requested the community to preserve the area because it forms a significant part of history and also urged the public to respect the monument. The original monument was erected in the north-east corner of the complex and relocated to its current position in June 2012.
