DA wants to assist schools

DA to help schools, DA wants to improve matric results, DA wants to assist under-performing schools.

The DA wants to assist the schools who obtained the lowest matric pass rate last year.

Holmdene Secondary School got 25 % and Qondulwazi Secondary School received 27 %.

According to Ms Angel Khanyile, DA councillor, they would like to know the challenges that these schools face and see where can they help them.

“They need to improve their results because a community without education is not empowered,” Ms Khanyile said.

The DA also wants to congratulate the schools who improved their 2013 pass rate.

“Special congratulations to Azalea Combined School who moved from 45,5 % in 2013 to 89,9 % last year,” she also said.
