A Meyerville resident has been given the run-around with regards to a water bill amounting to R1 200.

A Meyerville resident has been given the run-around with regards to a water bill amounting to R1 200.

“I only realised this on 12 February when I went to pay my account,” Ms Ana de Franca said.

She went home and noticed the water meter was under water.

“When I asked the Lekwa Municipality about the issue, they referred me to the fire station, saying it was not their problem.

“I went to the fire station and informed them about the water meter.

“They gave me a reference number, 065189, and said that somebody will attend to the problem.”
