Houses might collapse
Residents are worried that their houses might collapse.
Residents in Motloung Street are worried that their houses will fall on the houses in the next street, named Mabuya Street in Jabavu Section, Sakhile.
According to them the soil underneath their houses began eroding before 2005.
They claimed they reported the issue to the Lekwa Municipality and they promised to do something about it, but nothing has been done thus far.
The situation has since got worse and they alleged that the current Ward 5 councillor, Mr Joseph Mothopeng, is aware of it.
Mr Motheng denied that the residents reported the matter to him.
