Another police vehicle involved in accident

A taxi and a police vehicle collided at the Baumann Street and Walter Sisulu Drive intersection just before 8am on 25 June.

According to the towing services the police vehicle made a u-turn in the road when the taxi collided with it.

This is the second incident in two weeks where police vehicles were involved in accidents.

Another police vehicle was involved in a collision in Kosmospark on 12 June.

The police officer, Const Mbalekelwa Sithole who was driving the state vehicle, was on duty when the incident occurred.

Const Sithole drove towards the left as if he was going to turn left.

“He immediately made a u-turn in the middle of the road,” Lt Nhlabathi said.
