Pupils enjoy science

The experiment was great and the time it takes for the formation of rust depend on the exposure.

KINROSS – eMdibini Grade 9 pupils said they enjoy science, because it allows them to perform experiments which make it easier to remember what they have learned.

During their science period on Thursday, 3 September they did an experiment on rust formation and the prevention method.

Queenelia Mpondosi said they used water, oxygen and metal to create rust.

“The experiment was great and the time it takes for the formation of rust depends on the exposure,” said Simanga Mngomezulu.

Mngomezulu said during their experiment they used two different apparatus, one with water, oxygen and a nail and the other one with water and oil to get metal and non metal reaction.

Grade 9 science teacher Mr Freddy Hlungwane said he is happy that pupils have a positive attitude towards science and that will make them to excel.
