Pupils and teachers celebrate Heritage Day

Pupils played Maraba-raba, Ncuva and Diketo and pupils from different grades competed against one another.

BETHAL – Bethal Independent School held a fun day during which pupil could dress up according to their different cultures.

Teachers also dressed up and played games with them.

It was Entrepreneurs Day for the Grade 7 pupils who sold homemade products.

According to the teachers it is important to make sure that pupils with different cultures get to know other cultures.

Pupils played soccer, bought sweets and jumped on jumping castles.

The school also invited pupils from Vukanini Primary School and Sakhisiswe Primary School to play indigenous games.

They played Maraba-raba, Ncuva and Diketo and pupils from different grades competed against one another.

Even the principle and some of the male teachers grew a beard to demonstrate men in their culture.
