Friday, 16 October, 12:07 – A man was allegedly beaten to death by an angry mob at the Engen Garage next to the eMbalenhle Mall.

Police are at the scene.

Update – Friday, 16 October, 18:12 – Police are investigating a case of assault, murder and attempted murder after a man of about 20-years-old was killed earlier today.
According to information, the deceased and a second victim were assaulted by a mob next to the eMba Mall and local taxi rank.
It is alleged that the two tried to rob a local taxi driver of his money yesterday.
The group launched a manhunt and both victims were transported to where they were assaulted.
The deceased was certified dead on the scene and the second victim was taken to the Evander Hospital.
