Teacher from Meyerville arrested for dealing in drugs

Police seized 200 mandrax tablets in his house in Meyerville

A local teacher  was arrested for dealing in drugs on 8 July.

According to Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the police seized 200 mandrax tablets in his house in Meyerville.

“They also found R20 000 in cash,” Lt Nhlabathi said.
The educator is due to appear in court on 11 July.
The Standerton Police have opened a case of dealing in illegal substances.
The name of the teacher as well as the school can not be published yet.
The Standerton Advertiser will keep its readers updated.

Mr Mduduzi Dhlamini, a teacher at Madi Combined School, was granted R3 000 bail when he appeared at the Standerton Magistrate’s Court earlier today.
He is due to appear in court again on 19 August.
