Most people celebrate New Years Eve with a huge party and when midnight ticks by, they pop open the champagne and sing Auld Lang Syne before continuing the party which means New Year’s Day is spent sleeping it off.
But if you want to make the most of the first day of a New Year, then here are some things to try out:
Work on your new year’s resolution
Usually, one would writes a list of habits they need to cut but I firmly believe that it is better to write a New Year’s resolution with the mysterious new perspective that a new year brings.
The air seems clearer and more hopeful. My resolutions come out more realistic and manageable, like drinking less sugar in my coffee.
Try something new
What better way to start a new year than starting it with something else that is new, and I don’t mean a new credit card. I am talking about trying out food that you have never eaten before.
Why not go to that Thai restaurant you drive past everyday from work?
If you don’t drive past a Thai restaurant every day, chances are that you are driving past some kind of restaurant you have never eaten at before.
A new experience also counts. Try getting a new haircut, listening to new music, or taking a drive to somewhere you have never been before.
Make a Happy New Year video
We all get messages and Facebook posts from people wishing you a Happy New Years.
If you are really lucky, maybe some one might even send a card your way.
Why not go all the way by making an epic Happy New Year video or gif you can post on everyone’s Facebook wall.
Whatever you do on New Year’s Day, remember to stay safe and have a blessed new year.
