VIDEO – Body of six-year-old drowned victim recovered

According to his father Mr Reginald Scorgie, divers went back this morning to look for the boy and his uncle's’ body.

The body of Randy van Zyl, the six-year-old who drowned in a segment of the Vaal River in Rooikoppen over the weekend, was recovered moments ago.

According to his father, Mr Reginald Scorgie, divers went back this morning to look for the boy and his uncle’s’ body.

After about 30 minutes Randy’s body was recovered near a willow tree in the river.

The Mpumalanga Diving Squad as well as other medical personnel are still on the scene.

Ms Antonette Keyter, Standerton Advertiser journalist, was on the scene and spoke to Mr Scorgie.
