Secunda Police teach kids about their safety

Ending abuse, neglect and the exploitation of children in South Africa is everyone’s responsibility.

W/O Newstar Twala, Const Masana Mbombi and Families South Africa visited various schools in the area to raise awareness of child protection.

W/O Twala said the visits were about how children can protect themselves against sexual abuse and to educate the learners about methods of reporting abuse.

He said ending abuse, neglect and the exploitation of children in South Africa is everyone’s responsibility and it is important for parents and caregivers to be aware of the whereabouts of their children at all times.

He said they will continue with the awareness campaign at other schools.
