Val van Ramesdonk leaves empty space

She was first admitted to Mar-Peh Medicare in Standerton for observation and then transferred to the ICU of the Mediclinic in Trichardt on 2 May.

Ms Val van Ramesdonk, a well-known personality in town, passed away on 23 May at the age of 74.

She was first admitted to Mar-Peh Medicare in Standerton for observation and then transferred to the ICU of the Mediclinic in Trichardt on 2 May.

Valerie June van Ramesdonk was born in Woolverhampton in the United Kingdom and with her late husband, Jean-Jacques Guillaume, emigrated from the then Rhodesia to South Africa in 1976.

She rarely hid behind anonymity and was prepared to eloquently express her views on matters pertaining to the community that the number of letters to the newspaper can vouch for.
